A Bucks County native is garnering the attention of the golf world after a stellar first session during his freshman year of college. Jack Hirsh wrote about the up-and-coming star for Golf.

Kevin Lydon, who grew up in Doylestown and graduated from central Bucks High School West, is now a freshman at La Salle University. During this first year, he has been playing collegiate golf for the school, and a recent game has many paying attention to the new player.

His first round of college golf, Lydon’s eagle try on the 18th green was a 60, something only ha handful of college athletes have done before.

“I like to stay in the present on a golf course and not think about the past or future, because that’s when you start playing bad golf,” Lydon said. “So you stay in the present and focus on one shot at a time and that’s how you do your best.”
