The 56th Annual Polish American Family Festival & Country Fair will be held in Doylestown this upcoming weekend.

The first part of the event will be held from this Saturday to Monday in celebration of Labor Day. The week after, the event will be held from Sept. 10 to 11 from 12 noon to 8 PM. Admission to the event will be $12.

“The festival showcases award-winning polka and disco polo bands as well as Polish folk dance groups from across the United States and Canada,” event organizers said on their official website. “A much-anticipated part of the festival is the performance of the Polish American String Band in their Mummers costumes on the second Sunday of the festival.”

As with every year, the event will be held outside of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, a local Catholic church known for having a predominantly Polish-American congregation. The church is also known for housing a reproduction of the Black Madonna icon, a religious image of the Virgin Mary with an Infant Jesus, from Częstochowa, Poland.
