Pink, who was Alecia Beth Moore when she attended Central Bucks West High School, is feeling the love from her high school alma mater. Entertainment Tonight covered the musical tribute the pop star got from her former choir teacher.

Dr. Joseph Ohrt, CB-West‘s Director of Choral Activities, rehearsed, shot and uploaded a video of his current students singing Pink’s “What About Us.” After it went live, news of the performance reached Pink herself, who responded on Twitter.

“Mr. Ohrt was my high school choir teacher.” she posted. “His famous quote to me was ‘Alecia, it’s not a solo.’ But I /heart/ this and it brought me to tears!!!!!! You all sound amazing and I’m totally overwhelmed with love.”

The performance shows the choir in masks as they perform throughout the school’s campus. At one point, the students gather around a giant, pink-painted stone that bears the singer’s stage name. The clip also features Pink’s high school yearbook picture.

In addition to his high school responsibilities, Dr. Ohrt is adjunct professor at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, one of the world’s foremost centers for choral study. He appeared on MTV shows School Days and Who Knows the Band and sang backup in the choir for Barbra Streisand’s final concerts at Madison Square Garden
