Norristown is a historic home rule municipality and the county seat of Montgomery County, located just six miles northwest of Philadelphia along the Schuylkill River.
With a population of 35,748 as of the 2020 census, it is one of the most populous boroughs in Pennsylvania. Norristown’s rich history dates back to 1704, and it was incorporated as a borough in 1812.
