McCaffrey’s Market Acquires New Jersey Grocery Store, Joins Wave of Bucks County Business Growth

McCaffrey's Market, the Bucks County-based grocery chain, recently acquired Pennington Quality Market in New Jersey, bringing its total store count to nine.

Bucks County’s commercial landscape is shifting, with a regional grocery chain expanding across state lines, new storefronts taking shape in local shopping districts, and a handful of business leaders earning recognition, writes Jeff Werner for Patch.

McCaffrey’s Market celebrated a major expansion. The Bucks County-based chain has acquired Pennington Quality Market in Pennington, New Jersey, pushing its store count to nine.

The New Jersey location will go dark briefly before reemerging under the McCaffrey’s banner later this month.

In Newtown, Clusters Handcrafted Popcorn has set up shop at the Village at Newtown Shopping Center, taking over the former Bobby Chez Gourmet To Go space. The specialty retailer brings a niche but growing category to a center that continues to evolve its tenant mix.

Doylestown’s North Main Street also has a new addition: The Way Barber Co., a traditional barbershop concept joining the corridor’s eclectic lineup of shops and eateries.

Over in Dublin, the Town Center’s redevelopment push continues with a new UPS Store, offering shipping, printing, and mailbox services to an area that has been steadily filling in.

At Peddler’s Village, the seasonal landmark tapped Ali Weinstein as its new director of sales and marketing.

As for Doylestown, Josh Fields, executive director and founder of the Next Steps Program, was named a 2026 Philadelphia Titan 100 honoree, a recognition of his growing influence in the regional business community.
