Quakertown’s Sabrina Carpenter Sees Two Hit Songs Return to Top Bestsellers

Several of Sabrina Carpenter’s songs have appeared in the UK’s bestseller lists, with “Tears” and “Please Please Please” leading the charge.

Even as promotion slows down for Quakertown-born Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend album, two of the pop star’s hit songs have returned to the spotlight thanks to UK listeners, writes Hugh McIntyre for Forbes.

“Tears” from Carpenter’s latest album and “Please Please Please” from Short n’ Sweet have placed on the United Kingdom’s top 40 bestsellers on the Official Vinyl Singles chart.

The Man’s Best Friend hit is slightly higher on the list, placed at No. 34, while “Please Please Please” follows closely behind at No. 38.

The Short n’ Sweet song is Carpenter’s greatest success, having appeared in the No. 1 slot for multiple weeks. “Nonsense” and “Manchild” also each spent a week in the top spot.

“Please Please Please” has held the longest run on the ranking, having appeared somewhere on the list for 47 weeks. “Tears,” which held the No. 2 spot for a week, has been in the top 40 for the last 11 weeks.

Both hit songs also appear on the UK’s Official Physical Singles chart, which tracks vinyl, cassette, and CD purchases, with “Please Please Please” at No. 46 and “Tears” at No. 41.

Carpenter’s “Espresso” and “Manchild” also stand out among the singer’s top songs, appearing on the Official Physical Singles, the Official Singles, and the Official Streaming charts.
