The beloved Doylestown-based Lucatelli’s Pizzeria opened its doors at its second location in Newtown this past weekend, bringing its signature dishes to the area, writes Jeff Werner for Patch.
Located in the Village at Newtown South, the pizzeria has a tasty menu featuring its classic pies, hot sandwiches, and unforgettable vodka sauce. The owner, David Schiano, is excited to join the Newtown community and share his food with the area.
“Our goal is always to bring the freshest and best quality ingredients to our food as we strive to be that next-level pizzeria,” said Schiano. “We’re giving you the best and freshest food daily.”
Schiano has been making pizzas since he was 11 years old, when he helped out at his father’s Maple Glen Pizza restaurant in Ambler.
“We’re passionate about crafting authentic, high-quality Italian-inspired pizza and comfort food using the finest ingredients and family recipes,” Lucatelli’s website states.
Customers can enjoy a variety of options, including the cheesesteak sandwich with ribeye and Cooper sharp, a vodka parm sandwich with house-made chicken cutlets, and the hand-tied garlic knots.
Its most popular pies are the Bova, the Lucatelli Bufala, and the Margherita, along with its selection of Grandma Pizzas.
