For more than 50 years, Fritz’s Bakery has been selling some of the best sticky buns in the area at its Bensalem and Langhorne locations, reports Bob Kelly for FOX 29 Philadelphia.
Since the bakery opened, Fritz’s has sold almost 32 million sticky buns, using over 610,000 pounds of cream cheese and more than 124,000 pounds of cinnamon.
Their rolling pins alone have traveled more than 10,000 miles.
Fritz’s opened in Croydon in 1974 by Fritz himself. It wasn’t long after that when the family opened the Langhorne location.
The Bensalem location also recently relocated, moving into a larger space just around the corner from its original location.
While the sticky buns are this spot’s signature item, there are a variety of other delicious sweets available.
The butter cake is a fan favorite, made with the same dough used in the sticky buns, and topped with a layer of buttery, sugary goodness.
Muffins, chocolate chip cookies and sprinkle butter cookies are also popular items on the menu.
Fritz’s will be packed on Christmas Eve with customers trying to grab fresh treats for the holidays. Those looking to get a specialty cake can call ahead to place their order.
