Emily Frame, Lead Teacher at Newtown Discovery Preschool, was recently awarded the 2026 Terri Lynne Lokoff Teacher Award from First Up at their annual conference, writes Jeff Werner for Patch.
Frame was among 15 educators chosen for the honor from southeastern Pennsylvania.
The award seeks to shine a light on educators, elevate them, and encourage high-quality learning experiences, while highlighting testimonials from those who witness their impact.
Frame works primarily with two-year-olds, helping build confidence while creating a welcoming environment to support their early milestones.
The prize honors early childhood education teachers, who inspire growth and curiosity in the classroom, and teach with innovation and compassion.
Recipients of the award were given a $2,000 cash prize, registration to the conference, and recognition during the Terri Lynne Lokoff Teacher Awards Ceremony.
“Our goal is to elevate both the critical role that early childhood educators play in the lives of young children and to highlight the extraordinary level of care and education that happens in these programs,” said Carol Austin, Executive Director of First Up.
“By recognizing this excellent group of teachers at our conference, we hope everyone in attendance will take pride in their success and be inspired to elevate their practice,” she continued.
