Peddler’s Village in Lahaska is a picturesque spot filled with charming shops and countless events and activities for visitors to enjoy, writes Lauren Gordon for TravelHost.
The town was opened over 60 years ago by two entrepreneurs who saw potential in having a locally owned shopping area with specialty stores.
In the summer, the village comes alive with visitors, especially during the Red, White, and Blueberries BBQ Bash. The whole town becomes a picnic ground, with BBQ dishes available from vendors, outdoor games, live music, and blueberry-themed desserts, cocktails, and more.
Visitors can also see the array of impressive sand sculptures throughout the season, and explore the Peach Festival in August.
Winter offers its own fun attractions, with warm dinners available in the town’s various restaurants and taverns. Festive food and beverages are available to enjoy, along with activities like the Gingerbread Competition & Display.
The fall brings beautiful leaves and cool breezes to the village, as well as events that you can’t miss. Scarecrows line the streets of the town and celebrations like OctoberFeast bring good food, fun activities, and a beer garden.
Spring is one of the best times to visit, with beautiful flowers and clear skies, along with events like the Strawberry Festival and Greenology’s Bloom & Bond Container Garden Workshop.
