Peddler's Village Board of Directors has announced former COO Bob McGowan, as its new chief executive officer.

Peddler’s Village Board of Directors has promoted the popular tourist destination’s current chief operating officer, Bob McGowan, as its new chief executive officer, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.

As part of his new role, McGowan will still oversee long-term planning for the preeminent destination for entertainment, shopping, and dining and manage its overall operations and resources, including over 350 employees.

“Under Bob’s leadership, Peddler’s Village has achieved remarkable success over the past six years,” said Donna Jamison, daughter of Peddler’s Village founder Earl Jamison and the chair of the Peddler’s Village board of directors.

“Bob has delivered record-breaking sales and profits after expertly navigating the devastating COVID-19 shutdown and the lingering challenges.”

She added that he values both the destination’s employees and customers, “and he has consistently improved the level of retail and the physical property while also expanding its entertainment offerings.”

Prior to Peddler’s Village, McGowan served in various managerial roles at several of the region’s most active hospitality properties, including serving as area general manager for the Valley Forge Hotel Management Company and PM Hotel Group.
