Magic & Wonder Dinner Theater Unveils Immersive New Show ‘Enchanted’ This March

Magic & Wonder Dinner Theater unveils "Enchanted," an immersive new dinner show in Lancaster featuring grand illusions, aerial champagne service, theatrical dining, and multi-sensory storytelling beginning Mar. 7.

A new world of wonder is arriving in Lancaster this spring.

Beginning Mar. 7 and running through October, Magic & Wonder Dinner Theater (3065 Lincoln Hwy, Paradise, Pa.) will debut Enchanted, an immersive dinner theatre experience designed to transport guests into a forgotten magic shop brimming with imagination, mystery, and spectacle. More than just a new production, Enchanted represents a bold new direction for the theater rooted in escapism, storytelling, and multi-sensory magic.

“We were understanding the desire for a sense of escapism, and so we have created a truly immersive experience that helps guests be transported into a different world for two-plus hours,” said Brett Myers, an award-winning magician who co-owns the theater with his wife, Labrina. “We’re focused on creating a multi-sensory experience.”

That experience begins the moment guests walk through the doors.

Following a significant renovation, the interior has been transformed with hundreds of Chinese lanterns suspended overhead and glowing candelabras adorning every table. The stage façade evokes an early 1900s magic shop — once the heart of a small town’s creativity — now rediscovered by a new generation of dreamers.

The story centers on two young boys who are handed the keys to unlock the long-forgotten shop. Inside, enchanted artifacts launch audiences into imaginative worlds filled with grand illusions, special effects, and heartfelt storytelling.

“It’s not just a new show,” Myers explained. “It’s a new environment combined with heightened food and beverage experiences and a new direction in storytelling.”

Those elevated dining moments are central to the Enchanted experience. Guests can choose from several tiers: attending the show only, pairing it with the theater’s signature buffet, or selecting a premium package that includes preferred seating and four enhanced culinary presentations.

Among the most buzzworthy elements: champagne served by an aerialist hovering overhead; appetizers delivered inside a smoking treasure chest infused with lemongrass aroma; desserts presented from a storybook filled with swirling smoke and sparkling accents; and the signature Enchanted cocktail revealed beneath a cloche, complete with a delicate smoke bubble that releases a berry-scented aroma when popped.

“The magic is all in the way it’s presented,” Myers said. “You pull the cloche off, and there’s this magical bubble on top that looks like an ice cream cone. You pop it, and there’s aroma, there’s taste — it’s sight, sound, smell, touch. It’s a full sensory experience.”

Preparation for a production of this scale has required an extraordinary collaborative effort. Teams have worked for months repainting and reimagining the theater space, constructing sets and proscenium elements, designing costumes, and refining the show’s narrative arc.

“There are teams of dozens of people focusing on different things,” Myers said. “There are close to 100 people who have touched and worked on this show in order to make it happen.”

While no audience has yet experienced Enchanted (showings begin Mar. 7), previous productions have consistently surprised visitors, particularly those unfamiliar with the region’s theatrical offerings.

“People come in not expecting to find something like this in Lancaster,” Myers said. “They say, ‘I never knew something like this existed here.’”

That sense of discovery is part of the theater’s identity. “The big differentiator is that wonder lives here,” Myers added. “You can go see a magic show in Vegas. But to step into a world where magic is part of the story, and you’re immersed in it. … I don’t know of any other place in the country that’s doing that.”

Designed for audiences “from three to 103,” Enchanted aims to delight children and adults alike, offering families a rare opportunity to share in the same sense of awe.

When guests enter beneath the glow of lantern light and candlelit tables, Myers hopes for one simple reaction: breathlessness.

“When they walk in,” he said, “their breath is going to be taken away.”

With imagination rekindled and the doors of the magic shop reopened, Lancaster’s newest theatrical adventure invites Greater Philadelphia audiences to step inside and rediscover wonder for themselves.
