Ryan Ogle Steps Down as 2026 PGA Championship Director at Aronimink

Ryan Ogle has announced he is stepping down as director of the 2026 PGA Tournament at Aronimink Golf Club to pursue a new opportunity.

The 2026 PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club is losing its director, Ryan Ogle, only a few months from its opening, writes Emma Dooling for Philadelphia Business Journal.

Ogle announced on LinkedIn that he is stepping down from the PGA of America in the coming days, which runs the annual golf tournament.

Ogle has accepted a new opportunity that allows him and his family to settle permanently. His work for the PGA has required him to relocate eight times over the last 13 years.

Ogle was appointed to lead the 2026 PGA Championship in September 2024.

PGA of America said in an email that it was grateful for Ogle’s leadership and contributions to multiple PGA Championships. It did not state whether a new director has been named.

“Championship planning remains fully on track, supported by an experienced leadership team, and we’ll share more about next steps at the appropriate time,” the organization said in its statement.

The 2026 PGA Championship takes place from May 11 through May 17 in Newtown Square.

The 90-day infrastructure setup process at Aronimink for the tournament will begin in a few weeks.

The tournament is expected to bring 200,000 people to Delaware County.
