Singer and Doylestown native Pink recently celebrated a career milestone as her hit song “Just Give Me a Reason” hit over two billion views on YouTube, writes Carly Silva for Parade.
Pink, also known as Alecia Beth Moore, commemorated the achievement with a post on social media with a clip from the music video, which was part of her album The Truth About Love (2012).
The video, which features Moore alongside her husband Carey Hart and her duet partner Nate Ruess, was released in February 2013.
“Just Give Me a Reason just hit 2 billion views on YouTube. I can’t quite wrap my head around how big that number is,” she wrote. “When you write a song, you hope it finds its way into people’s lives, year after year. Thank you for giving this song a place, and making it yours as much as it is mine.”
Last week, Pink posted about her song “Try,” another song from The Truth About Love album, which hit one billion streams on Spotify.
“A billion streams of Try. That’s wild,” she wrote in her post. “This song has always been my love letter to anyone who’s ever risked their heart, got burned, and chose to live again anyway.”
