Maxwell’s On Main in Doylestown is hosting two big nighttime events this week in their upstairs brick wall ballroom on Jan. 14 and Jan. 15.
The bar and restaurant has become an event hotspot since the creation of the Craft Culture concert series in 2012.
In recent months, they’ve held various live concerts, drag shows, and a free Sunday jazz series, along with their DJ dance parties on the weekend.
On Wednesday, Jan. 14, the dance floor will be open for their monthly Country Line Dancing Night. Renowned choreographer and instructor, DJ Ashley Rose, will be guiding guests through beginner-friendly lessons.
Tickets are available for $10. Doors will open at 7 PM, and the dancing will begin at 8 PM.
On Thursday, Jan. 15, the “Material Squirrel” drag show, honoring 1980s pop culture, will be taking place. The event is produced by Bucks County-born and raised drag performer and musician Miss Shuggenah O’Hare.
The show will feature nine performances by a talented cast of kings and queens. Doors will open at 7 PM, and the show will begin at 8 PM. Tickets are available for $25.
