The popular global retail chain, GameStop, recently closed another location at Richland Township’s Trainer’s Corner shopping center, writes Ryan Kneller for WFMZ 69 News.
At GameStop, customers can purchase and sell video games, virtual reality hardware, video game consoles, trading cards, collectibles, and more.
“Although this store is closing on Jan. 7th 2026, we look forward to seeing you at: 2333 Welsh Rd, Lansdale, PA 19446 or another nearby location,” said the Richland store.
Over the years, the retailer has closed many brick-and-mortar locations.
In February 2024, the chain had over 4,100 stores around the world, with over 2,900 in the country.
As of February 2025, this number has been reduced to 3,200 global stores, with 2,300 operating in the U.S., according to a United States Securities and Exchange Commission filing from March last year.
GameStop released its financial reports for the third quarter in 2025, with net sales of $821 million. In 2024, the company saw net sales of $860.3 million in the third quarter.
An employee from the Bucks County location reported that the closure was a result of a lease disagreement, as the location had relatively high foot traffic.
