Nearly 100 age-qualified units are set to be built on the former Abraham Lincoln Elementary School site as Bristol finally approves a project that has been in development for years, writes Lacey Latch for the Bucks County Courier Times.
The Villas of Abraham Lincoln will consist of 48 senior apartments and 41 stacked townhomes or flats on a ten-acre site in the Plumtree section of Levittown.
Built by local developer Mar Mar Homes, the community will also include a clubhouse along with a pool.
The project received approval after the township’s planning commission recommended its green light in April.
This represents one of the three former school properties in the township that have become central to redevelopment efforts over the last several years.
Construction of Villas at Greenbrook, another 55-plus community with 180 total housing units in various sizes and architectural styles, is already underway on the former site of John Fitch Elementary School.
Meanwhile, the 17-acre George Washington Elementary School site has been officially designated as open space, which was donated to the township in 2022.
