After opening Atlee Square last spring, the developer is preparing to begin the second phase of the project next to the Oxford Valley Mall in Middletown, adding 223 more luxury apartments, writes Lacey Latch for the Bucks County Courier Times.
Construction is slated to start early next year, said developer David Della Porta.
The first phase of the project includes 391 units with nine layout options for the apartments and two shared courtyards with a pool, grilling and dining stations, fire pits, and outdoor televisions.
The new homes are designed to complement the Oxford Valley Mall once it is fully revamped, although it is uncertain when the long-planned redevelopment of the shopping center will start.
“We haven’t had a lot of new news out of (mall owner) Simon (Property Group) so we haven’t seen, frankly, what we had hoped to see up until now in terms of redevelopment, new tenants,” said Della Porta. “We continue to hear they’re working actively on that.”
Once the project is finalized, the area could become a new town center in Middletown, added Della Porta.
