The Newtown Beerfest is returning to a new location this fall after a one-year absence, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.
The Newtown Athletic Club will be hosting the event this year on Saturday, Oct. 4, featuring over 150 craft beer varieties.
“After 14 years of tradition, community, and great brews, Newtown Beerfest is back to celebrate the best of craft beer culture while supporting a vital cause: Newtown Fire Rescue,” said the Newtown Athletic Club. “New location. Same unforgettable experience!”
In previous years, the Newtown Fire Rescue organized the Beerfest at the Stocking Works on South State Street.
“This fall, we’re tapping into that same spirit, with even more to love,” announced the NAC. “We’re bringing the party to Newtown Athletic Club’s North Field for an even bigger and better Beerfest experience!”
Over 40 breweries will be in attendance this year, along with food trucks and live music. Guests can enjoy wine and seltzers as they play lawn games with friends and family.
First Tap opens at 12:30 PM, with general admission beginning at 2 PM. Tickets are $81 for First Tap Early Entry and general admission is $60. Tickets for designated drivers can be purchased for $17.50.
