Locals Reminisce about Bucks County Malls on Social Media, Share Happy Memories

Local content creator Jeremy Konopka recently posted a video of Neshaminy Mall, leading others to reminisce about their favorite mall memories.

Jeremy Konopka, a content creator and actor from the Philly area, visited Neshaminy Mall last month and posted a TikTok mourning the loss of his favorite childhood spots, writes Erin McCarthy for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The video received over 100,000 views, and people gathered in the comments to reminisce about the now-rundown Bensalem mall.

Malls and brick-and-mortar stores have struggled in recent years, as more and more individuals turn to online shopping.

Julia Lampone, a 22-year-old from Yardley, shared fond memories of shopping with family and friends.

“It made me sad seeing everything all boarded up,” said Lampone. “I didn’t even recognize it.”

Gwen Raifsnider, who grew up around the Doylestown area, similarly reflected on her time spent visiting the nearby Montgomery Mall.

The general manager of Oxford Valley Mall, Gwen Karpf, said that the Langhorne space will continue to serve as a spot for families to gather.

“We’re proud of the memories that have been made here over the years,” said Karpf in a statement, “and are committed to ensuring the mall remains a vibrant hub for new generations to create their own traditions.”
