The economic downturn has claimed another victim as the Express store in Oxford Valley Mall has permanently closed its doors, writes Dino Ciliberti for the Patch.
This closure is part of a broader trend, with the fashion retailer recently filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
Express Inc., based in Columbus, Ohio, filed for bankruptcy in late April, announcing the closure of 95 of its 550 retail stores and all 10 UpWest locations.
The Oxford Valley store, known for its trendy office attire at affordable prices, had been running a “Going Out of Business” sale with discounts exceeding 60 percent.
This closure follows a similar fate for the Express store in Neshaminy Mall, which shut down in 2020.
Express continues to operate around 530 retail and factory outlet stores across the United States and Puerto Rico, alongside 60 Bonobos Guideshop locations and their online operations.
