The Capital Grille’s “The Generous Pour” Wine Tasting is Returning to Newtown

The Capital Grille’s annual “The Generous Pour” wine tasting event is taking place from now until Aug. 31 in its Newtown location.

The Capital Grille is hosting its 17th annual “The Generous Pour” wine-tasting and educational event through Aug. 31 in its Newtown location, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.

The wine selection, curated by The Capital Grille’s sommeliers, includes six wines paired with fresh seafood and steak dishes.

Included in the list is the Language of Yes “Les Fruits Rouges” Rosé, which has tropical fruit notes. The Rombauer Vineyards Napa & Sonoma Sauvignon Blanc is another wine in the lineup, with flavors of kiwi, grapefruit and key lime.

Rombauer Vineyards’ Carneros Chardonnay will also be featured, offering hints of melon, peach, citrus and vanilla.

Another wine, J Vineyards & Winery’s Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, includes notes of cherry, berries, rose petals, cloves and oak.

Orin Swift “Advice from John” California Merlot and Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon from Jayson by Pahlmeyer are also among the options.

An exclusive giveaway will be hosted during the event, giving visitors the chance to win a private dinner. The dinner will showcase wines from the event and feature a special guest appearance.

Customers can participate in the curated wine tasting for $45 with the purchase of an entrée.
