A new wine bar will soon bring a unique wine-tasting experience to Quakertown, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.
Unwine Vineyards originally started six years ago in downtown Easton, before it had to close due to the pandemic. The establishment will soon be back at its new location on a grassy six-acre property in Springfield Township.
The wine bar is owned by winemaker Joel Ritter and artist Mary Reshetar, and as such, it reflects the pair’s individual passions. It will offer visitors a comfortable space to enjoy wine and art together under one roof.
“This is grassroots, this is us,” said Reshetar. “Down to earth, uncomplicated. Even though we’ve been doing this for years, we’re not the typical wine people.”
The couple hopes to provide a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere at its indoor tasting bar and gallery. They also plan to add outdoor seating, offering lovely views of the grapevines that they plan to plant soon.
“We want it to be an intimate space combining art, wine, and fellowship,” said Reshetar. “We want people to come with their families, their kids, and it be very community-based.”
