The National Night Out event is coming back to Doylestown Central Park this week, Aug. 5, giving locals a chance to meet emergency responders from Central Bucks, writes Ed Doyle for TAPinto Doylestown.
On Tuesday night, from 4 to 8 PM, police cars, fire engines and additional emergency response vehicles will be in the park.
Families can chat with their local emergency responders and can explore inside some of the vehicles present.
A medical helicopter will also be at the park, along with some of the K-9 units from the area.
The event is free, with refreshments like hot dogs, pizza, water, Gatorade, ice cream and water ice available for visitors.
National Night Out is a “community-building campaign” to connect locals with the first responders who work to keep the area safe.
Around 1,000 individuals have attended the event in the past.
Parking is expected to be tight due to construction in the park. It is recommended that visitors park either at Kutz Elementary School or at the New Britain Road entrance.
