Furlong Wellness Center to Launch ‘Bucks County Spa and Salon Self-Care Month’

A Bucks County wellness center is launch a new initiative where they will work with local businesses to help those in need.

Kin Wellness and Support Center, located at 2325 Heritage Center Drive, Suite 113, in Furlong, has announced the debut of Bucks County Spa and Salon Self-Care Month, which will run from May 6 – June 6.

The initiative will allow local residents to book an appointment at a participating spa, med-spa or salon location, and a percentage of their treatment fee will go to the wellness center to benefit local cancer patients and their caregivers.

“There has been an overwhelming response by the most popular spas, med-spas and salons in Bucks County who will use their talents to help local cancer patients in a unique way,” said Keith Fenimore, Executive Director and founding member of Kin.

“We are thrilled that our fundraising efforts incorporate local businesses in a meaningful way that not only helps the non-profit but helps spark local commerce and support for the businesses who participate.”

he Bucks County Spa and Salon Self-Care Month has a dedicated webpage at www.welcometokin.org where participating locations are listed with a hyper-link to their business. As a visual indicator, all participating locations will have a decal displayed in their window.

“We are excited to participate in the first Bucks County Spa and Salon Self-Care Month!” said Migdalia Costante, owner of Doylestown Float Studio.

“Self-care is at the core of what we do.  Self-care is essential to our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, and this program aligns perfectly with our mission to be a wellness resource to our community, while giving back to members of our community that need our support.”

Some of the other volunteers for the Bucks County Spa and Salon Self-Care Month include Sarah Peters of KW Real-Estate, Ashley Pompei of Shops at Valley Square, Amy Stump of Sarah Cornwell Jewelry, Andrea Ferguson of Up In The Air Balloons, Sandy McIntyre of Grace Media Services, Inc., Nancy Catricks, Sandy Roberts, Jean Transue, Karen Sciarra, Beth Cady, Lynn Carp, Pam Schum, Joanne Petrun, and Marianne Fenimore. 

Businesses that have already confirmed their partnership include David J.
