Doylestown’s annual car show, Doylestown at Dusk, is set to take place this weekend, featuring 500 vehicles, writes Ed Doyle for TAPinto Doylestown. Around 30,000 visitors are anticipated to attend.
The show will take place on Saturday, July 19, from 5 PM to 10 PM. Cars will be parked along East State Street and West Court Street, beginning at Main Street. The display will continue down West State Street until the intersection by Carousel Flowers.
Motorcycles, hot rods, antique cars and a fire engine will be lined up side by side on the streets. Rick Millham Jr. is one of the co-chairs for the event and recommended that attendees explore the full show.
“You have to walk the whole show, because we park the vehicles as they come in,” said Millham. “We may have a Pinto that’s next to a 1960’s Cadillac that’s next to a customized Sprinter conversion van. They’re all going to be parked next to each other.”
The car show acts as an opportunity to raise funds for local community organizations. Seven nonprofits will present checks to organizations chosen by the Grant Committee of the Rotary Club of Doylestown.
Live music will play throughout the event.
“We’re creating an experience where we’re connecting people with vehicles that mean something to them,” said Millham.
