Two Bucks County Prosecutors Recognized by County’s DA Office

Two prosecutors were recently recognized by the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office for their hard work and dedication to their work.

The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office recently recognized two prosecutors for their dedication and excellence, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.

Deputy District Attorney Christine M. Sassane and Assistant District Attorney Timothy W. Lutes were granted the awards during a ceremony at the Bucks County Justice Center.

Officials awarded Sassane, who first began working at the office in 2018, the Exceptional Public Service, Professionalism, and Integrity Award. Her work as Chief of Diversionary Courts and Chief of the Homicide by Vehicle/Crash Investigation Unit has been extraordinary.

“Christine wears so many hats. She handles the most serious and difficult crash cases, despite all the responsibilities on her shoulders. She never complains and is always willing to help her colleagues,” said one of her colleagues.

Lutes, a member of the office’s appellate unit and the open records officer, received the Outstanding Performance Award for his critical contributions since joining the office in 2019.

District Attorney Jennifer Schorn commended Tim for his integrity.

“You just step up, you rise to the occasion every time. You are clearly someone whose integrity is without question. If you don’t know the answer, you find the answer, and it’s always so thorough,” said Schorn.
