Famed Bensalem Bakery Moves to a Bigger Spot Just a Few Doors Down

Fritz Bakery hosted a grand opening celebration for its new Bensalem location in the same Neshaminy Square shopping center.

Fritz Bakery recently held a grand opening to celebrate its new location in the Neshaminy Square shopping center, writes Dino Ciliberti for the Patch.

The bakery was formerly situated just a few doors down from the new location in the same shopping center.

Kim Bartholomai, one of the co-owners, announced that they needed more space to accommodate the ever-increasing demand.

The new bakery took the place of the St. Jude Religious Store at 4201 Neshaminy Blvd. The store, which had operated at that location for 60 years, closed last August.

“We’ve been around almost 30 years,” Bartholomai said. “But we’re going to expand. We’ve run out of room.”

Fritz Bakery opened in 1974 and has sold an array of sweet treats since then. Their selections include cookies, cupcakes, brownies, cinnamon rolls, Danish, cheesecakes, pies and more.

The old location measured just 1,800 square feet; the new space is more than triple that at 6,034 square feet. This new Bensalem store is also larger than the bakery’s other location in Langhorne

Customers can expect to see some new items added to the bakery’s menu.
