With Pennsylvania’s May 20 primary election quickly approaching, voters across the Commonwealth will face critical decisions—especially in judicial races that often receive less media attention but carry long-term consequences for our communities, our families, and our rights.
Fortunately, there is a powerful, nonpartisan tool offered by the League of Women Voters to help every voter cast an informed vote: Vote411.org.
Vote411.org is a free, trusted resource that provides personalized election information for federal, state, and local races. By simply entering your address, you can view your full ballot, learn where and how to vote, and—most importantly—hear directly from the candidates in their own words.
Here’s how it works: the state League and local Leagues across the Commonwealth reache out to every candidate on your ballot with a brief, office-specific questionnaire. Their unedited responses—available in English and Spanish—are published on Vote411.org and, in many cases, shared through local media partners.
If a candidate hasn’t responded, we don’t stop there. Our volunteers and staff follow up—via email, social media, and phone—sometimes multiple times and urge candidates to respond. In fact, if you see a candidate who has not responded to our Vote411 questionnaire, I encourage you to reach out to the candidate and ask them to do so–because when voters speak up, candidates listen!
The League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania envisions a democracy where every person has the motivation, the right, the knowledge, and the confidence to participate. Our mission is to empower voters and defend democracy—and that includes holding candidates accountable to the people they seek to serve.
For candidates, Vote411 is a chance to speak directly to constituents at no cost. For voters, it’s a one-stop source for clear, accessible, and unbiased information. (You can also check your voter registration status or register to vote!).
In a moment where trust in elections is more important than ever, Vote411 ensures that every Pennsylvanian has access to the facts—not spin—and the tools to vote with confidence.
Visit Vote411.org before May 20 and make your voice heard. An informed vote is a powerful vote.
