Concert promoter Joe Montone and his Stage United nonprofit organization are joining forces with Doylestown for a new concert mini-series, Concerts at the Commons, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.
Concerts at the Commons will feature an exciting lineup of bands, delicious food trucks, and local craft beer — perfect for satisfying every appetite.
The two-concert series will take place at Broad Commons Park, a former PennDOT storage yard that the borough has converted into a playground, picnic area, and spacious field. It kicked off on May 1 with a free performance by popular indie rock band Mo Lowda & The Humble, which has local roots — the band leader is Bucks County Deputy Sheriff Dave Woodard.
The series will continue on May 29 with performances by Jarod Clemons & The Late Nights and Fallon’s Religion.
“Working alongside The Doylestown Borough to bring Concerts at the Commons to life is a dream come true,” says Montone. “It’s our largest endeavor yet as a nonprofit, and exemplifies the demand for more live music in our backyard.”
The grounds will open at 6 PM for both concerts, and the music will begin at 6:50 PM.
