The Youth Orchestra of Bucks County has announced that they are currently accepting applications for their 2022-2023. Staff writers at the Doylestown Observer wrote about the updates in the Bucks County music scene.

Students who are in grades 3-12 and live in or around the Bucks County area are eligible. Potential applicants who play brass, woodwind, string, and percussion instruments are welcome to sign up for the season.

As part of the application process, students are required to send a pre-recorded video of them playing prescribed orchestral pieces. Those who are accepted with attend weekly rehearsals in Newtown, as well as concerts and workshops.

Top conductors from around the area will be teaching students and overseeing the practice of the music. Young students who are interested will find that this is an incredible opportunity to take part in an immersive musical education.

With rehearsals and other activities beginning in September, students are advised to send their videos in now. The orchestra is known to travel to other countries for their performances; current performers just returned from Tuscany for a concert series.
