BCCC’s Culinary & Hospitality Open House Gave Visitors Chance to Sample Career Opportunities

The Bucks County Community College in Newtown held a Culinary and Hospitality Open House on April 28 at Founders Hall, giving visitors the chance to explore career opportunities, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.

The free event featured tours of the school’s state-of-the-art culinary labs, demonstrations by chef instructors, and samples of dishes prepared by students.

Guests also had the opportunity to learn about BCCC’s degrees and certificate programs in related fields, including culinary arts, baking and pastry arts, hospitality management, and event planning and management.

All of these programs are designed to help students launch careers in high-demand industries such as restaurants, catering, food service, lodging, and tourism.

Greg Luce, Dean of the School of Business, Innovation, and Legal Studies said the public college has been offering culinary and hospitality training for nearly five decades.

“What makes our program truly exceptional is our commitment to connecting students with industry leaders and providing real-world experience,” added Luce. “Our open house offers a unique opportunity to experience our state-of-the-art facilities, interact with our expert chef-instructors, and get a taste of the hands-on learning that sets us apart.”
