Bucks County Community College and Villanova University have teamed up to let BCCC associate degree holders fast-track their graduate accounting degrees, writes John McDevitt for KYW Newsradio.
The main feature of the new program is the integration of graduate-level accounting prerequisites into the undergraduate curriculum.
Students will take four key accounting courses during their junior and senior years at Villanova, including Intermediate Accounting I and II, Federal Income Tax, and Auditing. These will then count as undergraduate electives and provide a head start on the students’ graduate accounting studies.
BCCC graduates who decide to transfer to Villanova will be eligible for merit-based tuition reductions while earning their Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree. If they are accepted into the program, they may also qualify for a $14,000 scholarship toward a graduate accounting degree.
Interested students can reach out to Bucks County Community College’s School of Business, Innovation, and Legal Studies to get further details.
