A new neighborhood with river views is taking shape in Bristol Borough, which is replacing a former shipyard and aircraft manufacturing plant, writes Kevin Riordan for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
The second phase of Radcliffe Court on the Delaware is currently underway, with a 96-unit condominium complex of mid-rise buildings being constructed. The development has already sold 76 two-story townhouse condos from phase one.
Newtown-based BCS Builders is developing the $40 million community, leading the borough’s condo boom.
“I’m born and raised here, and if someone told me growing up that we’d be seeing this many condos built along the river, I wouldn’t have believed it,” said Bristol Mayor Ralph DiGuiseppe III. The development “is a testament to the improvements in the borough and to people taking a new interest in our walkable town.”
Radcliffe Court has easy access to the Bristol Spurline Park Trail and is within walking distance from Bristol Station on the Trenton Line of SEPTA’s Regional Rail service.
The first four buildings are either complete or under construction, with two more planned. All the condos feature two bedrooms and two baths, and most have river views.
