Ohio-based Custom Glass Solutions is planning to close its manufacturing plant in Trumbauersville on April 30, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The move will result in 105 employees being laid off.

Custom Glass Solutions was founded in 1965. It produces specialty glass and windshields for various industries, such as law enforcement, public transportation, construction, and commercial transportation.

The company has more than 320 customers – including Ford, John Deere, Volvo, Caterpillar, and Winnebago, among others – and employs hundreds of people.

According to a spokesperson for the company, the Upper Bucks plant is closing as a result of facility consolidation “to gain a more efficient company footprint that enables our broader investment and growth strategies.”

Custom Glass Solutions said affected employees may receive severance packages based on their years of service. Filing notes indicate that around 20 employees will get to keep their jobs past the closing date, while four will be offered the chance to transfer to another location.

The affected positions include production team members, maintenance technicians, engineers, and quality control positions.

The company also has two plants in Ohio and one in Oklahoma.
