The Baby Bureau in Warminster provides packages filled with diapers, clothes, blankets, and more esential items to parents in need, offering them support as they care for their newborns, reports Matteo Iadonisi for 6abc.
“Our mission is to provide diapers, clothing, and other essentials to underserved babies in the five-county area,” said Laurieann Tebben, Executive Director of The Baby Bureau. “We have local schools who do clothing drives for us, families who had babies, they donate unused clothing.”
Founded 13 years ago, the organization recently donated its 10,000th baby bundle.
“We’re so proud of that number,” said Tebben.
Most of the packages are distributed through organizations such as HIAS Pennsylvania and the Maternity Care Coalition. The milestone bundle of joy went to HIAS Pennsylvania, which serves refugees and asylum seekers in the Philadelphia area.
“These bundles really serve to brighten their days and get them the items that they need as they build new lives in our community,” said Jeffrey Isaacson, of HIAS Pennsylvania.
