The Baby Bureau in Warminster is supporting Pennsylvania families as they embark on their journeys with their newest additions, providing everything they might need from the very beginning, writes Wakisha Bailey for CBS News Philadelphia.
Laurieann Tebben, the executive director of The Baby Bureau, highlighted they provide items like diapers and wipes, to sleepers and wonders.
Tebben added that just this year, the organization has helped more than 10,000 babies.
“It just shows that when parents are receiving the bundle, there’s a community out there who really care and love them,” said Tebben.
The nonprofit was founded in 2011 by Fran Wasserman with just a few donations to help the underserved communities and at-risk babies. Today, the nonprofit fills several rooms with products that last a child up to a year.
The majority of the bundles are distributed using social workers, local organizations, and churches.
Kelly Ramirez is one of many mothers who were helped by The Baby Bureau after giving birth.
She praises the organization for being there when she “needed it the most” and helping her when she got her newborn son, Bentley, out of the hospital.
