Philadelphia suburbs are home to many great pizza spots serving delicious pies in squares or triangles, and one of the best is Spuntino in Doylestown, writes Hira Qureshi for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Spuntino is located inside Main Street Marketplace in Doylestown. Owned by Roberto Carollo, this popular pizza shop specializes in Neapolitan pizzas.
Customers lucky enough to grab a seat at the counter can watch the team pull puffy-crusted pies from the wood-fired oven, which cooks them at 900 degrees in just 90 seconds.
One of the local favorites is a mouthwatering pie tipped with soppressata, Calabrian chili paste, garlic, and honey. Meanwhile, there are many healthier options, including a pizza with cooked ham, artichokes, and mushrooms.
This pizza shop is also known for its delicious salads, such as one with shaved fennel.
You can eat your pizza at the on-site dining room or when visiting the neighboring Hops/Scotch bar.
