Speckled Egg Cafe Moving from New Hope to Lambertville

The Speckled Egg Cafe will expand its hours and menu after relocating from its current spot at Rice’s Market in New Hope to a permanent home in Lambertville, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.

The small eatery that had grown into a dining destination will start operating at its new space in early spring.

“Lambertville is where we got our start, and both Meg and I have a lot of history in the town, so it feels like it’s a homecoming to us,” said Tony Artur, who co-owns The Speckled Egg Cafe with Chef Megan Loos.

For the past three years, the cafe owners have worked within the confines of market hours, making up for the shorter time by using pop-ups at local spots such as Manoff Market Gardens, Free Will Brewing, Finnbar, and John and Peter’s.

“We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to grow our business there,” said Artur. “That said, we really felt like we had outgrown the space.”

The Speckled Egg Cafe will remain closed until the new Lambertville location is ready to open.
