A beautiful five-bedroom, four-bathroom converted barn in Upper Makefield, dating back to before the Revolutionary War, has recently hit the market for $3.295 million, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Perfectly situated on nearly 3.5 picturesque acres, this charming home features a pool, koi pond, tennis court, and gardens, and offers 6,300 square feet of exquisite living space.
Much of the interior has the original barn and farmhouse beams and stonework, reimagined with a modern design and layout.
According to listing agent Kevin Steiger of Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Realty, the home was purchased in 2010 by interior designer Rafael Novoa, who, along with his partner, fully transformed the property. Steiger noted that the barn was originally converted into a residence in the 1970s.
“Then they took it to the next level and just really tripped it out,” he added.
The home features an open floor plan with colorful walls, an interior balcony, along with a floating staircase.
Some areas of the home, including the primary bedroom and one of the living spaces, feature exposed original stone.
Meanwhile, the gourmet kitchen and dining room feature large windows that offer breathtaking views of the property.
