With the Super Bowl fast approaching, fans are rushing to Buckingham Valley Vineyards to grab a bottle of its special-release Green Sparkling Wine, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.
Jerry Forest, who owns the winery with his wife, Kathy, and their three sons, had no idea the wine would become so popular when they first made it for the Eagles’ 2023 Super Bowl run.
“We did two cases for our family, and then it caught on,” said Forest. “It just seemed like a fun thing to do.”
They ramped up production in the week leading up to the game and sold over 2,000 bottles. Since then, they’ve continued making and selling the wine, doing everything they can to keep up with demand after the Eagles won the NFC Championship.
“It’s selling very well because there’s a lot of Eagles fans in this area,” said Forest. “And we’re getting orders from all over the state right now.”
The wine costs $18 per bottle and can be ordered online or by phone for in-person pickup or shipping anywhere within the state.
