New Hope’s Bradley Cooper recently made an 8-year-old Eagles fan ecstatic by gifting him and his family Super Bowl tickets, writes Anna Lazarus Caplan for the People.
Declan LeBaron went viral last month in a video made by Canadian YouTuber Zachery Dereniowski, who surprised the boy with tickets to the NFC Championship game between his favorite team and the Washington Commanders.
The boy, who has spent most of his life in a hospital due to systemic juvenile arthritis, also received $1,000 from Dereniowski. This he promptly gifted to shoppers at the dollar store where the segment was shot, winning the hearts of many.
On Tuesday, Declan was a guest on the Today show with his parents and two siblings when he learned he would be going to the big game against the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans with his entire family. During the segment, Eagles cheerleaders and a band marched onto the set, performing Fly Eagles Fly, while the popular actor and director emerged out of a misty cloud holding oversized tickets to the game.
“You’re going to the Super Bowl, baby!” said Cooper, as confetti rained down on the set.
