Brooke Shields shared a surprising and humorous story about New Hope resident Bradley Cooper from her new memoir Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old, writes Jovita Trujillo for Hola!.
During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, the 59-year-old actress and model recounted a health scare that led to an unforgettable encounter with the Jenkintown native.
Shields revealed that while preparing for a one-woman show at Carlyle, she drank excessive amounts of water to protect her voice. She explained that all the water depleted her sodium and she had a grand mal seizure. The actress collapsed which prompted Cooper’s assistant, who lived nearby to step in.
When she came to, Cooper was holding her hand. “I literally thought, ‘I didn’t make it. I had a good run. I had a good run. This is my reward,” she joked.
Cooper accompanied her to the hospital and was there even after her husband joined them.
Host Kelly Ripa joked about making Bradley Cooper her emergency contact.
Shields’ memoir came out earlier this week.
