A nearly 16,000-square-foot mansion in Upper Makefield sold late last month for $6.9 million, becoming one of the largest residential sales in Bucks County, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The 13-acre estate was first listed in September for $7.25 million.

According to Bright MLS sales records dating back to 1997, this six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home is the the most expensive residential sale in the county that was not a farm property.

The sellers were represented by Perry Epstein and Jack Lacey of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox and Roach.

According to Epstein, the buyer pool was mostly local, along with several out-of-town buyers also showing interest.

The four-level home is located close to Jericho National Golf Club. Outstanding features include a simulator with over 20 sports, a wine room, a full bar and billiards room, and a 700-square-foot walk-in closet featuring a sitting area as well as a laundry room.

The outside is perfect for entertaining with a large patio, nearly Olympic-sized swimming pool, and a fully-equipped outdoor kitchen with retractable roof.

A putting green, shuffleboard court, and a turfed area are also included in the property.
