Santa Claus to Make Appearance at Neshaminy Mall Despite Earlier Cancelation Plans
Boscov’s is bringing Santa Claus to the Neshaminy Mall in Bensalem after the new owners decided against hosting him in Center Court near Barnes & Noble due to the low foot traffic, writes Dino Ciliberti for the Patch.
Visitors will get a chance to hang out with Santa at Boscov’s Neshaminy on Friday, Dec. 13, from 4 PM to 7 PM, said Jacob Stein, Boscov’s Department Store vice president of operations.
The event will feature free crafts and storytime, with attendees invited to take photos with their phones and cameras.
Paramount Realty, the mall’s new owners, stated in September they are “dedicated” to developing the site. The company purchased the property from Edgewater Properties in mid-July.
The one-million-square-foot Neshaminy Mall occupies a 108.5-acre site along Route 1, near Exit 351 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
The entire property, minus the former Macy’s, was part of the sale. The site was positioned as a great redevelopment opportunity with a high-performing Boscov’s, Barnes & Noble, and an AMC Theatre. As a bonus, On The Border and UNO Chicago Grill are also located near the mall.
