Though Bucks County has seen a seller’s real estate market, a realtor anticipates growth in residential listings, which could favor buyers.

Though Bucks County has experienced a seller’s real estate market for several years, a local realtor anticipates substantial growth in residential listings, which could help stabilize prices for buyers, writes Lacey Latch for the Bucks County Courier Times.

Stephanie Garomon, 2024 president of the Bucks County Association of Realtors, said that the situation in the last several years was unprecedented.

“We’ve had a decent amount of home sales, but it’s been like pulling teeth because the inventory was so low,” she said.

In October, there were 533 new listings in Bucks County, down from an average of 660 for the same month over the past five years. The low number of listings resulted in increased prices.

The median sale price in the county for October was $470,000, a five percent increase from the median home price in 2023.

However, Garomon said that the way things were trending at the end of this year indicates potentially positive things for 2025.

“Overall going into next year, I believe we’re going to have a better market, I’m hopeful for that,” she said.
