Boat House bar and the adjacent shuttered Hamilton's Grill Room in Lambertville are now both under new ownership.

Three Philadelphia-area hospitality and real estate firms have bought the Boat House bar and the adjacent shuttered Hamilton’s Grill Room in Lambertville, New Jersey, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Refined Hospitality, Brickstone Realty, and Trax Partners also acquired each restaurant’s corresponding liquor license. The sale closed on August 29.

Refined, which helped open the River House at Odette’s across the Delaware River in New Hope, and Brickstone are leasing the two properties from Trax Partners, a real estate investor.

The Boat House will continue to operate as is. The bar, which features a nautical-themed decor, has been open since 1980 and can accommodate between 90 and 100 people.

According to Refined Hospitality owner Ron Gorodesky, Refined and Brickstone only plan to make minor updates to the building.

“We will never change the Boat House,” he said. “The Boat House is iconic.”

Meanwhile, the group plans to convert adjacent space that was previously Hamilton’s Grill Room into a new restaurant, which is tentatively set to open in mid-October.

The new establishment will have a “simple and eclectic” atmosphere along with a courtyard space filled with greenery, said Gorodesky.
