Bucks County isn't short on bakeries selling delectable baked goods. Fritz Bakery is one of the best, and is known for its sticky buns with cream cheese icing.

The Philadelphia suburbs, Bucks County included, is filled with bakeries selling delectable bakes like freshly baked cakes, cookies, and cinnamon rolls, writes Hira Qureshi for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Fritz Bakery, which has locations in Langhorne and Bensalem, is known for its sticky buns topped with cream cheese icing.

The family-run bakery first opened in Croydon a half-century ago by current owner Jessica Volpacchio’s uncle Paul Bartholomai and his wife, Kim.

In addition to the popular sticky buns, Fritz Bakery customers can also order custom cakes, butter cakes, danishes, cinnamon rolls, brownies, and other classic baked goods.

The Happy Mixer Gluten Free Bakery, with locations in Chalfont and Newtown, in addition to Wayne, is another great bakery.

Founded by Tim and Lisa Mourer in 2013, the bakery specializes in gluten-free baked goods.

According to Inquirer food critic Craig LaBan, the gluten-free baked goods taste so good that they “require a suspension of gluten-free disbelief.”

Some of the other baked goods offered there include red velvet muffins, kiffle cookies, doughnuts, and more.

There’s also Maryanne Pastry Shoppe, whose hot, fresh yeast-raised doughnuts are a favorite. You can also order walnut and raisin cinnamon buns, tea biscuits, butter cakes, turnovers, croissants, and other assorted pastries.
