After putting Georgine’s Restaurant in Bristol Township up for sale, the owners of the landmark Lower Bucks establishment have decided to stick around for now, writes Dino Ciliberti for the Patch.

The family who has owned the restaurant since 1977 said that the business has not sold and is currently open.

“We are celebrating 47 years as a family dining destination in the Bucks County area,” the owners wrote in a recent Facebook post. “Same owners, same good food, and still reasonable prices. Come back and dine with us and see our improvements. Please spread the word to your friends and family that Georgine’s is open.”

They noted that they have completed the renovations for the restaurant. The establishment is now again available for weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties, and other special occasions.

The property at 1320 Newport Road listed for sale in April for $3.8 million.

“Many people are now aware that Georgine’s is taking offers to be sold at a future date,” stated the owners on the restaurant’s Facebook page at the time. “This decision was a difficult one since this business has been part of the community for 50 years.”
