The Middletown Grange Fair, a cornerstone of Bucks County’s agricultural heritage, is set to return for its 73rd year from August 14-18, writes Katherine Cressman for the Bucks County Courier Times.

What started as a modest corn-growing contest in 1948 has evolved into a large-scale event drawing thousands.

The fair offers an array of activities that go beyond typical fairground attractions. Highlights include intense tractor-pulling contests and the crowd-favorite hot dog pig races, but this year’s entertainment doesn’t stop there. Performers from The Voice and American Idol are slated to take the stage.

While admission remains free, parking fees have increased to $20 per vehicle, a necessary measure according to organizers, to manage the anticipated influx of attendees.

Veterans are exempt from parking fees upon showing ID. The fair will operate from 10 AM to 10 PM daily, with a shortened schedule on Sunday.

For a detailed event schedule, visit the official Middletown Grange Fair website or follow their updates on Facebook.
